KY HOSTEL FAQs

Check-in available from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Don't worry if you arrive later. Contact us at info@kyhostel.com and we'll send you instructions on how to access your room.

You have until 11 o'clock noon to check out from your lodging.

After checking out, if you want us to keep your baggage for you during the day or if you want to continue to use the hostel's services, you can sign up for the baggage check or late check-out services, depending on availability. You can find out all about this at the reception desk.

If you've made your booking through a third-person agency or platform, please contact them directly to learn about their cancellation policies.

On the other hand, if you've made your booking directly with us or through our website, our cancellation terms will be clearly stated on the booking confirmation email that you will receive.

In the event that you have booked at a NON REFUNDABLE rate and you have accepted the specific booking terms, your reservation fee will not be returned once it has been paid. Of course you can, but you won't need a key because we have an electronic locking system. We'll give you full instructions in the booking confirmation email.

Your booking confirmation email will explain how to access your room. Rooms are locked electronically with a personal code.

We have private parking on site with a limited number of spaces, which are not guaranteed. If you wish to reserve a space during your stay, please indicate this in your booking. This service incurs an additional charge payable directly at the hostel. Spaces will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.

You sure can! Just remember to reserve the same type of bed, but it will depend on availability. If you are a group of friends and you want to be together in the same room, the best thing to do is to contact us directly at info@kyhostel.com and we'll do everything possible to arrange things in accordance with your wishes.

Yes we do. In fact, we have several rooms just for women (with 4 or 6 beds).

The coworking space is located in the loft. It is a spacious light-filled area with WiFi connection, where you can work comfortably and privately.

The common area is open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.

On our website you'll find complete information about the excursions we organize. Our reception desk team can also inform you about all this once you get settled. We offer you the possibility of signing up for guided excursions, which allow you to enjoy even more the places that you visit and to learn more about our environment, history and traditions. Rates vary depending on the excursion and the requested conditions.

Store your sports equipment safely. We have a secure, locked storage area for bikes and skis The hostel has a limited number of ski and bicycle lockers, which are assigned on a first-come first-served basis. You can sign up for this service at the reception desk on your arrival.

Of course. Everyone is welcome at our hostel. You can book rooms for 4 or 6 people just for your family. You'll have access to the common areas and play area.

To ensure the safety of the little ones and the peace of mind of the other travelers, children under 18 years of age can only stay with their family group and in private rooms, as beds in shared dormitories are exclusively for adults.

If you'd like to enjoy a family meal, we recommend trying our specialties at our AKY restaurant, which also has an outdoor terrace. Our menu has been designed to satisfy the tastes of the whole family.

In the event that you made the reservation through another channel, it is best that you contact them directly.

The hostel is cleaned daily. Order and cleanliness are very important to us. We want you to feel comfortable and we strive to keep our facilities in perfect order.

Your friends and relatives are welcome at the bar, restaurant and terrace, but they may not visit the rooms.

It is forbidden to smoke inside the hostel but you may do so on the restaurant terrace.

It is not permitted to eat in the rooms for reasons of hygiene and the common good. There is a shared kitchen for guests at your disposal where you can regenerate food, or prepare a coffee or a cup of tea.

Dogs of up to 20 kg in weight are allowed. Your pet can stay with you if you are in a private room, that is to say, if the room is booked by a family or a group of friends. Pets are allowed in the common areas but they should always be kept on a leash or in a transport carrier. On making your booking, remember to add the comment that you are coming with your pet. There is a surcharge of 12 € a night for pets.

On arriving at the hostel, you should display your pet's health certificate stating its vaccinations, and the insurance documents required by the pertinent regulations at all times. If you are travelling from abroad, you should also display your pet's European Pet Passport.

Guide dogs for the blind are allowed everywhere in the hostel.

We are sorry to say that we cannot allow dogs considered to be potentially dangerous.

You can use the hostel's guest kitchen throughout the day, between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m. All that we ask you to do is to tidy up and clean everything you use so that the following guests will find everything equally clean and orderly.

There are clothes washers and dryers at the hostel. Ask about rates at the reception desk.

Towels, sheets and duvets are included in the price of the bed or room. Extra towels are available for a surcharge of 2€ per towel.
